First of all, I started on the openmoko wiki, following recommendations like installing qi as a boot loader. Later I wondered why I couldn't enter the boot menu anymore, not realizing that the qi loader doesn't have a boot menu.

So I recommend to continue using u-boot and don't follow warnings like: Don't do `this and that' if you don't have a debug board.

Owning an openmoko with its NOR boot mode means you can always start with a plain device even if you accidentally deleted or scrambled any of your nand partitions.

Is this flag new? Having this set correctly to reflect the CHOST of your build host helps much though (in etc/make.conf of your cross root).
