Unless you add -x264 to your USE flags, mplayer will can not be built:

# emerge-armv4tl-softfloat-linux-gnueabi -pv mplayer

Please check if

echo "=media-libs/x264-0.0.20090502 **" >> $ROOT/etc/portage/package.keywords/x264

solves the problem for you. If this is the case, I will add this to the overlay.

No, it doesn't resolve the issue. please see the updated attachments as x264 fails to build with that package.keywords entry.
